Public Consultations and Surveys

The Ministry of Information and Communications Technology (MoICT) encourages the investment in telecommunications infrastructure in the Kingdom, therefore, a need is there for a legislation to govern and regulate the rights of way issue in Jordan. In so doing, the Ministry had held several meetings and interviews with the concerned authorities/stakeholders and reviewed all legislations governing the right of way issue in Jordan, while taking into consideration the international best practices in this regard. Accordingly, the Ministry drafted a bylaw for the right of way for telecommunications service providers, which aims to regulate and govern the use of the right of way in order to facilitate to the extension of the telecommunication networks and infrastructure in Jordan.

For reasons of transparency, engagement and promotion of partnership and consultation with partners, stakeholders and interested parties, the Ministry announces that the draft bylaw is subject to a period of public consultation for one month starting Sunday 30 /12/2018 on the Ministry’s website
