Launching the project "Using Artificial Intelligence in Cleaning Government Data"
On Sunday, the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship witnessed the signing of an implementation contract between the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) expert team and Eqra Tech. This contract signing is part of the Ministry and JICA's collaborative technical cooperation agreement, which aims to nurture and advance Jordan's artificial intelligence ecosystem. The program aims to promote the use of new AI technology and implement AI applications in critical sectors.
The project seeks to enhance the quality of governmental data, ensuring its accuracy and reliability. This effort is part of a broader strategy to improve decision-making processes through precise data and to elevate the efficiency of government services in alignment with national strategic goals.
"This initiative reflects Jordan's ongoing dedication to advancing digital transformation and utilizing modern technologies, including artificial intelligence, to enhance the performance of the public sector and deliver more efficient and effective services to citizens," stated the Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Eng. Sami Al-Samirat, during the signing ceremony, which was attended by Mr. Suzuki Takahiro, the representative of JICA's office in Jordan, along with several consultants and representatives from relevant authorities. He also pointed out that this cooperation with JICA is an important step towards building a sustainable AI ecosystem in the Kingdom, which will support the achievement of our strategic goals and strengthen Jordan's position as a regional hub for technological innovation.
Mr. Suzuki Takahiro, Senior Representative of the JICA Office in Jordan, emphasized the project's importance as a qualitative step toward promoting digital transformation in the Kingdom, praising the Ministry of Digital Economy and leadership for adopting innovative technologies that support the development of digital infrastructure. He also expressed optimism that the project will have a significant positive impact on artificial intelligence at the national level.
It is worth noting that this project is part of a larger initiative launched by the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship in collaboration with JICA, which includes the implementation of several AI use cases in various fields to promote technical innovation in the Kingdom.
