Within the efforts of the Jordanian government to enhance digital development and invest in modern technology, a memorandum of understanding was signed on the sidelines of the Artificial Intelligence for Defense Technology and Cybersecurity Conference and Exhibition, which started yesterday at the Dead Sea. The Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, in collaboration with the Jordanian Center for Design and Development, aims to implement selected projects from the National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence and the 2023-2027 Implementation Plan.
The memorandum of understanding, signed by the Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Ahmed Hanandeh, and the Executive Director of the Jordanian Center for Design and Development, Engineer Ayman Al-Batrane, includes collaboration with relevant entities, institutions, and parties interested in introducing artificial intelligence capabilities and technology to improve the services they provide. The memorandum also involves monitoring and periodically reviewing the progress of the projects to ensure their successful implementation according to set standards and timelines. This collaboration aims to make tangible progress in the field of artificial intelligence technology and enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of services provided by the involved entities.
Hanandeh emphasized that signing the memorandum of understanding today is part of the government's efforts to achieve its goals in enhancing digital development and improving the efficiency of government and private services through investing in artificial intelligence technology across various economic and social sectors. He expressed satisfaction with the collaboration with the Jordanian Center for Design and Development, praising its competence and creativity in the fields of science and technology.
On his part, Al-Batrane, the Executive Director of the Jordanian Center for Design and Development, praised the importance of this agreement, stating, "This collaboration represents a unique opportunity for both parties to cooperate in the fields of technology and innovation. It will help us enhance our ability to achieve sustainable digital development and provide better services to citizens and the economic sector."
