Jordan Launches First AI Computing Platform

Aqaba, Jordan – Aqaba Digital City, operator of Jordan’s largest data center, has announced the launch and operation of the Klstrai platform, the first of its kind in the Kingdom, providing artificial intelligence computing capabilities from within Jordan.

The platform enables government institutions, private sector companies, startups, and developers to access advanced AI computing capabilities locally, allowing them to develop and operate applications and process data within the Kingdom while strengthening digital and data sovereignty.

The platform provides institutions with flexible access to AI computing capabilities based on their needs and business requirements, without the need to purchase advanced equipment or establish and operate dedicated computing infrastructure. This contributes to reducing solution development costs and accelerating the transition from experimentation and development to actual deployment.

Klstrai offers flexible options for organizations at different stages of AI adoption, ranging from on-demand computing services to the development and operation of integrated solutions. Applications include data analysis, document processing, process automation, digital assistants, customer service solutions, and other AI applications.

The initiative carries strategic importance amid the rapid expansion of AI applications and the growing demand for advanced computing capabilities to process large volumes of data. Providing these capabilities within Jordan allows institutions to keep their data and processing operations locally, giving them greater control over their data and digital operations while reducing reliance on computing infrastructure outside Jordan.

Localizing AI computing capabilities will contribute to enhancing Jordan’s readiness to develop, host, and operate advanced applications locally, provide infrastructure that supports innovation, research and development, and meet the growing needs of government and economic sectors and AI startups.

CEO of Aqaba Digital City Eng. Iyad Abu Khorma said that operating the Klstrai platform represents an important milestone in developing Jordan’s AI infrastructure by providing the advanced computing capabilities that institutions and developers need from within the Kingdom. He noted that the platform will help them develop and operate their solutions efficiently while providing greater control over their data.

He added that the platform provides an advanced environment that supports innovation and investment in AI solutions and enables Jordanian talent and companies to access specialized computing infrastructure, strengthening the Kingdom’s competitiveness and supporting its position as a regional hub for AI and advanced computing services.

The launch of the platform builds on Aqaba Digital City’s investments in developing digital infrastructure and data centers and connecting Jordan to international communications networks, enhancing the Kingdom’s ability to host and operate advanced digital applications and services and supporting the growing demand for AI and computing services in Jordan and the region.
