Trial Launch of “Aoun” – Jordan’s National Digital Donations Platform

The Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship and the Ministry of Social Development Launch the National Donations Platform “Aoun” in Trial Phase

The Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship and the Ministry of Social Development today announced the trial launch of the national donations platform “Aoun,” ahead of officially starting to receive donations next Thursday, corresponding to the eighth day of the holy month of Ramadan. During this phase, citizens can explore the platform’s services and learn how it works, in preparation for making donations easily through the available digital payment methods.

“Aoun” is a government digital platform dedicated to organizing and collecting donations for underprivileged Jordanian families. It operates under the supervision of the Ministry of Social Development, with technical support from the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship. The platform aims to enhance the efficiency of charitable work and ensure that support reaches eligible beneficiaries with transparency and reliability through an official and secure digital channel.

The platform offers a seamless digital donation experience, enabling individuals and companies to support beneficiary families anytime and from anywhere using available electronic payment methods and digital wallets. This contributes to simplifying donation procedures and expanding community participation. The platform serves as a digital link between donors and officially licensed and registered charitable institutions and associations across the Kingdom, which are responsible for delivering donations to eligible families. The government platform’s role is limited to organizing, tracking, and electronically monitoring the process within a mechanism that ensures transparency, credibility, and efficient delivery of aid.

In cooperation with charitable institutions and associations, the platform focuses on several key areas of support for families in need, including the distribution of food parcels to the most vulnerable families, healthcare services, provision of medicines and treatment, educational support, assistance to students through school supplies and backpacks, child support through the provision of milk and diapers and essential care, and housing support including rent assistance and home maintenance. The platform also provides clear campaign information and continuous updates on progress and results, further enhancing transparency and trust.

The two ministries emphasized that the trial launch allows citizens to familiarize themselves with the platform’s features and services before the official start of donations and to provide feedback that will help improve and refine the user experience prior to full-scale operation.

It is worth noting that the development and establishment of the “Aoun” platform was fully funded through a donation from a leading Jordanian startup company, without any cost to the public treasury. This step reflects strong corporate social responsibility and private sector support for national efforts to advance digital transformation and strengthen social and charitable work in the Kingdom.

The two ministries invite individuals and companies wishing to donate to visit the national platform “Aoun” at:
